nRespiratory Therapist
nAbout the Role
nAs a Respiratory Therapist with Apria, you’ll provide essential respiratory care, equipment setup, patient education, and ongoing clinical support for patients in their homes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe transitions from hospital to home and supporting patients as they regain independence and confidence using their respiratory equipment.
nYou will report directly to the Branch Manager, and work closely with a collaborative team including Coordinators, RTs, Techs, and clinical leaders.

nKey Highlights
nnnHybrid-style role: ~70% in the branch, ~30% in the field
n
nnStrong hourly range: $35.00–$40.00/hr. (higher end for hospital RT experience)
n
nnSupportive branch environment
n
nnPredictable schedule: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
n
nnOpportunity to work closely with physicians, discharge planners & case managers
n
n nSchedule
nnnHours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM ~ flexibility if needed
n
nnOvertime: As needed
n
nnEnvironment: Must check in at the branch daily; flexibility based on patient needs and hospital discharges
n
n nOn‑Call Transparency
nnnMonday- Friday
n
nnCoverage areas include:
n
nnBountiful
n
nnWood Cross
n
nnLogan
n
nnRotation frequency: Every 3rd Weekend
n
nnWeekend call‑outs are rare and generally involve telehealth support
n
n nSalary Range
n$35.00–$40 per hour
nHigher range considered for RTs with strong hospital experience.
nWhat You’ll Do
nnnConduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups
n
nnEducate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
n
nnAssess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
n
nnRespond to hospital discharge requests and support same‑day patient needs
n
nnCollaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
n
nnMaintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
n
nnEnsure all actions meet regulatory and safety standards
n
n nRequired
nnnRegistered Respiratory Therapist with an active Utah RT license
n
nnAbility to lift 50 lbs.
n
nnValid driver’s license
n
nnPersonal vehicle (no company car provided at this time)
n
nnExcellent bedside manner and strong customer service orientation
n
nnComfort using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
n
nnOpen to new grads; hospital experience preferred but not required
n
