n nWhat you will do:
nAs an RT you will work at assessing, treating and caring for patients of all ages who suffer from pulmonary (breathing) disorders. In addition to analyzing and performing diagnostic testing, respiratory therapists perform relevant exams as well as set up and utilize cardiopulmonary equipment and machines needed to assist or monitor the patients breathing.
nResponsibilities :
nnnGather data to be able to accurately assess a patient's current health status
n
nnAssess the patient according to the patient's physical or age related needs
n
nnObserve, record and report symptoms, reactions and progress of patients
n
nnAdminister and record prescribed medications, treatments and diagnostic procedures
n
nnResponsible for airway management including performing endotracheal intubations and extubations, pulmonary hygiene, and tracheostomy care and emergency life support procedures
n
nnProvides extensive health education to patients and to the general population through community services.
n
n nWhat you will need:
nnnAssociates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
n
nnCurrent NY State RT License
n
n nPer Diem is offered a flat rate
nPay Range: $39.22- $51.77
nPay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
