Overview
nPosition: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN- Nights
nLocation: Milwaukee St. Francis
nCompensation: $46 per hour plus night and weekend shift differentials
nschedule: 6:30 pm - 7:00 PM
nSign-on bonus: $4,000 Sign-on bonus for PRN
nOur hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. This role focuses heavily on ventilator management, airway maintenance, pulmonary assessment, and ventilator weaning while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes and recovery goals. We help patients during some of the most vulnerable, painful moments of their lives – and Respiratory Therapists (RT) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment every step of the way.

n nResponsibilities
nnnEvaluating patients andutilizing RT driven protocols to liberate patients from mechanical ventilation and adjust treatment plans within scope.
n
nnCollaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote optimal patient outcomes
n
nnProviding respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
n
nnBronchoscopies
n
nnArterial Blood gases
n
nnPromoting continuous quality improvement.
n
nnTeaching and counseling patients/families.
n
n nQualifications
nMinimum requirements:
nnnMust possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
n
nnProof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
n
nnPossess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
n
nnCurrent state licensure is required.
n
nnACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)
n
n nPreferred qualifications:
nnOne (1) year of related experience is preferred.
