Position: Respiratory Therapist - Registered (RRT)
Location: Chicago, IL
Contract: 8 Weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: Days | 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (36 hours/week)
Compensation:
For local-
Pay Rate/hr on W2: $58
For traveler-
Pay Rate/hr: $61.59
Weekly gross for 36 working hours: $ (all-inclusive)
Weekly Per diem/non-taxable: $
Pay Rate/hr on W2: $28
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatient and outpatient populations. The Respiratory Therapist will follow approved medical protocols and department policies while delivering safe, timely, and effective respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients.
Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures.
Administer medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
Maintain airways and provide ventilator management.
Perform arterial line insertion, intubations, and blood gas collection/analysis.
Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress testing.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Follow established respiratory care protocols, department policies, and safety standards.
Facility Requirements: 2+ years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience , including hands-on intubation experience.
NBRC RRT or CRT certification - must be attached to the candidate profile.
Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist license - must be listed on the resume.
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications - must be attached to the submission.
Strong clinical skills in respiratory care, airway management, and ventilator management.
