nProvide expert respiratory care to a diverse patient population across inpatient and outpatient settings, ranging from neonates to adults. Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate respiratory therapies and diagnostic testing while maintaining equipment, documenting accurately, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

nResponsibilities
nnnEvaluate patients' respiratory conditions by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
n
nnAdminister respiratory therapies including medical gas delivery , nebulization , chest physiotherapy , airway management , and mechanical ventilation ( invasive and non-invasive ) for pediatric , adolescent , adult , and neonatal patients .
n
nnPerform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis , pulmonary function testing , and pulse oximetry
n
nnMonitor patient physiological responses to treatments and adjust care or escalate concerns as appropriate .
n
nnManage artificial airways and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure patient safety and therapy effectiveness .
n
nnActive member of the medical emergency response teams .
n
nnMaintain accurate , timely , and thorough documentation in the patient electronic medical record (EMR .).
n
nnCommunicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient status and therapy plans .
n
nnProvide assistance with internal patient transports .
n
nnProvide patient and family education on respiratory pathophysiology and pharmacologic therapies .
n
nnSet up, maintain , and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment .
n
nnPerform routine cleaning and disinfection of respiratory therapy equipment .
n
nnServe as a preceptor and mentor for respiratory therapy students and new staff .
n
nnParticipate in departmental and multidisciplinary committees focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical outcomes .

n nQualifications
nEducation:
nnnAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required .
n
nnGraduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program required .
n
n nExperience:
nnNone.
n nLicense(s)/Certification(s):
nnnMust have current licensure in good standing to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in State(s) of Practice required .

nnRegistered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC ) required .
