Certified Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics/NICU
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with experience in Pediatrics and NICU Level 4 settings, specifically in Peds Cardiac care. This role is essential for delivering high-quality respiratory care to neonates, infants, and adolescents.
Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care for pediatric patients in a Level 4 NICU environment.
Assist in the management and treatment of patients requiring respiratory support.
Perform procedures such as bronchoscopy and extubation effectively.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Utilize Epic for charting patient information and care provided.
Schedule
This position requires a 3x12 hour shift schedule working daytime hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Holiday rotation and weekend coverage is required, with every other weekend scheduled.
Location
This position is located in a teaching hospital within South Carolina.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatrics, especially in the NICU setting.
CRT certification, along with current BLS and PALS certifications.
Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required before start date.
Experience with pediatric and neonatal critical care preferred.
Epic charting experience is highly preferred.
