Job description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: South Carolina
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Night Shift (18:45 - 07:15) with holiday rotation and every other weekend required.
Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across various hospital departments, including Critical Care and Labor & Delivery. This role requires recent critical care experience and the ability to float to all areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and interventions for patients.
Administer medications and therapies related to respiratory care.
Monitor patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Conduct procedures such as intubation and extubation, as well as manage mechanical ventilation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
Current South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license.
National Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) must be in hand at the time of start.
Recent critical care experience is required; CRT certification is not accepted.
