Job description
Registered Respiratory Therapist
This is a 13-week contract position.
Mixture of 12-hour (7 PM to 7 AM) and 8-hour (11 PM to 7 AM) shifts. Every other weekend is required.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to a variety of patient populations, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role involves delivering critical care services, managing respiratory treatments, and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory therapies and treatments to patients.
Evaluate and assess patient conditions.
Perform procedures such as intubation assist, suctioning, and bronchoscopy.
Manage mechanical ventilation and weaning processes.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic charting system.
Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required.
Current RRT certification is mandatory; CRTE is not accepted.
Epic charting system experience is required.
Current BLS and NRP certifications are necessary.
