Job Opportunity
Position: NICU Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled NICU Respiratory Therapist to join our team for night shifts (12 hours, 36 hours per week). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing patient evaluations, assessments, and delivering essential diagnostic and therapeutic treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and assist physicians as needed.
Deliver appropriate patient education and family teaching to meet patient and family needs.
Document all assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Identify and respond to significant changes in patients' conditions, ensuring proper communication with caregivers.
Conduct pain assessments and take appropriate actions following standard operating procedures.
Manage all documentation responsibilities, including order entry, electronic charting, and incident variance reports.
Process patient charges and generate reports as necessary.
Perform cleaning, assembly, and preventative maintenance of respiratory equipment per guidelines.
Responsible for the safe transport of infants to and from referral health systems.
Provide high-quality critical care in compliance with established patient care guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
Qualifications: Current Respiratory Therapist license from the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care.
Current Respiratory Therapist license from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from RQI Partners.
