Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Night shift: 3x12.0 hours
Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, administering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport as medically prescribed. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients regarding procedures and necessary post-discharge care. The role requires operation of various ventilatory equipment, both invasive and non-invasive, and effective communication with medical professionals.
Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Administer routine and prescribed respiratory therapies, utilizing various equipment and devices.
Conduct chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods.
Monitor patient vitals using oximetry and capnography.
Review chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies.
Assist with procedures related to respiratory care.
Perform tracheostomy care, including tube insertion and removal.
Document all treatments and patient responses accurately.
Collaborate with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Valid Respiratory Therapist licensure.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience in a clinical or acute care setting preferred.
