Job Description
We are seeking a qualified candidate who holds a valid Respiratory Care Practitioners License. This position requires strong experience in respiratory care, particularly in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize various respiratory care techniques including End-Tidal CO2 monitoring and BiPAP administration.
Conduct multiple sleep latency tests and interpret results.
Provide patient education and care related to respiratory health.
Assist with the diagnosis of complex sleep apnea and manage respiratory events.
Monitor patients for cardiac abnormalities and initiate appropriate responses.
Job Requirements & Qualifications License: Must have a valid Respiratory Care Practitioners License.
Certifications: BLS, RPSGT, RRT, SDS, RPSGT or RRT with SDS.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory care required.
Charting System Experience: Required to have experience with the Epic charting system.
Patient Age Groups: Must be comfortable working with adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Patient Ratios: 1:2 for adults and 1:1 for pediatrics.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in community hospitals.
Knowledge of specialized equipment such as Alice 6 G3 software and ResMed CPAP units.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will participate in an orientation program, where they will familiarize themselves with facility protocols and practices.
Applicants are required to provide two references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years.
Must be available to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
