Job description
Role:
The Respiratory Care Lead oversees daily shift activities, ensuring safe and effective patient care. They provide direct clinical support, manage staff assignments, and facilitate interdisciplinary communication to promote quality and safety initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead and evaluate team performance, assign workloads, and support staff development.
Ensure equipment functionality and monitor resource utilization.
Assist in onboarding, training, and maintaining staff education records.
Participate in process improvement, patient rounding, and quality outcomes initiatives.
Support data collection and analysis related to performance improvement activities.
Promote a culture of safety, customer service, and clinical excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
Current NBRC-RRT credential with at least two years of critical care experience.
Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT.
Additional preferred certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Provider or Instructor.
Strong leadership, communication, clinical skills, and knowledge of quality improvement processes.
Key duties:
Leading shift operations, supporting clinical staff, ensuring compliance with standards, and enhancing patient care quality and safety.
