At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range for this position is $31.94 to $47.45 excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
nYour final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
nOur two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

nSummary:
nA Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a professional member of the healthcare team who provides skilled respiratory care to newborns through geriatrics under the direction/orders of a physician. The RT assists in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases and related disorders in a professional and competent manner. RT participates in providing patient and family education. The RT may assess a patient’s respiratory status and recommend appropriate therapy.
nResponsibilities:
nnnAbility to perform the following:

nnABG machine,
n
nnVentilator management,
n
nnEKGs & EEGs Chest PT,
n
nnArterial punctures
n
nnPulmonary Functions
n
n nQualifications:
nnnEducation: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a Certificate of Completion from an AMA accredited program in Respiratory care is required.
n
nnCertification/Licensure:
n
nnMA Respiratory Care licensure, including 261 CMR 5.00 Continuing Education Requirement. (Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), or Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT))
n
nnCurrent BLS, and ACLS preferred.
n
nnExperience: 1 years of acute care experience care preferred.
n
nnSoftware/Hardware: Experience with Meditech is preferred.
n
n nSalary Range: $31.94 to $47.45
