nSchedule: Rotating shifts (days and nights)
nRequirements: Every other weekend & holiday rotation
nLocation: UPMC Williamsport
nSign-On Bonus:
nnn$12,000 for candidates with less than 1 year of experience
n
nn$20,000 for candidates with 1+ years of experience
n

nWhat You'll Do:
nAs a Respiratory Therapist, you'll play a vital role in delivering life-saving care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Working under physician direction, you'll provide therapy, monitor patient progress, and operate advanced equipment to support respiratory health across all patient populations and service areas.
nKey Responsibilities:
nnnAssess patient needs by reviewing prescriptions, lab results, and clinical data
n
nnAdminister respiratory treatments and medications safely and effectively
n
nnSet up and operate ventilators, aerosol generators, and other respiratory devices
n
nnMonitor and adjust equipment to ensure optimal therapy outcomes
n
nnRespond to emergency situations and assist in transporting ventilated patients
n
nnPerform pulmonary function tests and bronchopulmonary drainage
n
nnMaintain accurate patient records and documentation
n
nnTrain and supervise students and new staff
n
nnCollaborate with physicians to evaluate and adjust treatment plans
n

nWe're looking for a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
nEducation & Credentials:
nnnGraduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program
n
nnLicensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
n
nnCertified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), meeting AHA standards (must include both didactic and hands-on skills demonstration within 30 days of hire)
n
nnCredentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
n
nnNote: Therapists who earned their RRT credential after July 1, 2002 must maintain active certification per NBRC requirements
n
n nLicensure & Clearances:
nnnCPR/BLS Certification (AHA-compliant)
n
nnRespiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license or Osteopathic Respiratory Care license
n
nnRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
n
nnAct 33 Clearance (with renewal)
n
nnAct 34 Clearance (with renewal)
n
nnAct 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal)
