Respiratory Therapist (RT)

nThe Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation under the direction of a doctor. The Respiratory Therapist treats conditions that affect the pulmonary system and help patients who are having trouble breathing from infants to the elderly in a variety of health care settings.
nMinimum Requirements:
nnnCurrent Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registrationfor the state in which he/she practices
n
nnOne year of respiratory therapy clinical experiencepreferred
n
nnComplies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
n
nnCurrent CPR if applicable
n
nnTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
n
nnCurrent Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
n
nnMust meet all federal, state and local requirements
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age
