Job Description
Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care
Schedule
12-hour night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, every other holiday.
Assignment Details
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Contract Weeks: 13
Requirements
3+ years of recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility
NICU Level 3 and adult critical care experience required
RRT certification
MA Respiratory Care license
BLS certification
NRP certification
NPS and/or ACCS certifications preferred
Familiarity with lung protective ventilation
Participation on Code Blue team
Able to make ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapies and manage ventilators
Monitor patient vital signs and adjust treatments as necessary
Collaborate with medical team in critical care settings
Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory conditions
Participate in emergency response as part of the Code Blue team
