Requirements
State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
ACLS and BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care
Responsibilities Administer medications and implement respiratory care based on knowledge and experience.
Deliver patient care in complex situations, particularly in critical care areas.
Manage ventilator protocols and make independent decisions in patient care.
Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices.
Coordinate activities and participate in staff development and training.
Address the biological, emotional, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and families.
