Job Description
Respiratory Therapist - RRT
Schedule
Shift: 0630 to 1900 (days), every other weekend required.
Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks, floating between long-term care and acute care facilities as needed.
Requirements
Must have a valid RRT license.
Current BLS certification.
1 year of experience required.
Skilled in adult critical care, emergency department procedures, and various respiratory therapies.
Experience with equipment including Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, V60.
Responsibilities Administer respiratory care and therapy to patients.
Provide ventilator management and assessment of patient respiratory status.
Perform extubation, intubation assistance, and airway management.
Conduct sputum specimen collection and pulmonary hygiene procedures.
Monitor and troubleshoot high pressure alarms, as well as wean patients from mechanical ventilation.
