nWhy is this Respiratory Therapist role different
nThis role combines clinical autonomy with strong team support. You will work across a growing market, performing varied respiratory procedures while partnering with a collaborative, training-focused branch team.
nKey highlights
nnnWork Arrangement: On-site daily with 2–3 days on the road.
n
nnHours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; open to 4x10 schedule.
n
nnTravel: 30–45 minutes to first stop, up to 1 hour occasionally; telehealth used when possible.
n
n nSalary range
nn$34 - $38 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
n nOnCall transparency
nnOn-call rotation every 3rd week; flexibility needed for home visits and hospital support.
n nWhat you’ll do
nnnConduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups
n
nnEducate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
n
nnAssess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
n
nnRespond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
n
nnCollaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
n
nnMaintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
n
nnSet up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
n
nnInspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition
n
nnPerform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
n
nnPerforms other duties as required
n
n nWhat we look for
nnnCertified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active IL RT license
n
nnAbility to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
n
nnValid driver's license
n
nnComfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
n
n nEducation
nnGraduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
n nCertificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations
nnnHold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
n
nnHold a current CPR Certification
n
nnHold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
n
