nWhy is this Respiratory Therapist role different

nThis role offers a strong balance of independence and patient interaction, serving a broad territory throughout western and central Massachusetts. With a manageable on-call schedule that typically experiences low activity levels, this position is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist who enjoys building patient relationships, providing education, and delivering high-quality respiratory care while maintaining a consistent daytime schedule.

nnnWork Arrangement: On-site

n

nnHours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

n

nnCoverage area extends up to approximately 1 hour in most directions

n

nnMix of patient education, equipment management, and respiratory care services

n

n nSalary range

nn$32 – $35 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location

n nOn-Call transparency

nnOn-call rotation includes approximately 7–8 days per month, including weekends

n nWhat you'll do

nnnConduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups

n

nnEducate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance

n

nnAssess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately

n

nnRespond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs

n

nnCollaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams

n

nnMaintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop

n

nnSet up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation

n

nnInspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition

n

nnPerform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs

n

nnPerforms other duties as required

n

n nWhat we look for

nnnCertified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active MA RT license.

n

nnAbility to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.

n

nnValid driver's license

n

nnComfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation

n

n nEducation

nnGraduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

n nCertificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations

nnnHold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy

n

nnHold a current CPR Certification

n

nnHold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice

n
