Job description

Qualifications and Skills:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Current state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
Recent experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
Proficient in administering respiratory therapies, managing ventilators, and evaluating patient response
Ability to assess, plan, and prioritize patient needs
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
Key Responsibilities: Administer respiratory treatments and interventions as prescribed, including nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and airway management
Monitor and operate mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
Conduct patient assessments, record vital statistics, and document respiratory progress
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans
Provide patient and family education on treatment protocols and respiratory care management
Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and rapid response calls, acting efficiently under pressure
Ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control policies, and facility protocols
