nPosition Purpose
nThe Respiratory Educator (RE) utilizes innovation, flexible solutions, evidence-based practice, and effective operations for establishing an environment that transforms professional growth, role competence, and proficiency in team members specialty.
nWhat you will do
nnnDevelops innovative learning approaches for coordination, facilitation, conduction, and evaluation of orientation, competency, and in-service programs
n
nnCreate and implement continuing education based on needs assessment
n
nnProvide education/training on all new equipment and validates each staff member on use
n
nnParticipate in the development of specialty and generic Respiratory policies/procedures
n
nnCollaborate with hospital-based education specialist for organizational needs and support
n
nnMentor team members to focus on professional growth and development
n
nnDuring times of no scheduled education and training or as operational needs requires, The RT educator may perform normal duties as a staff RT
n
n nMinimum Qualifications
nnnAssociate's degree in respiratory therapy program and Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field required
n
nnMinimum of five (5) years of experience in all aspects of Respiratory Care
n
nnPrior teaching experience preferred
n
nnNBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required
n
nnDemonstrated project management experience required
n
