Respiratory Therapy Manager
FULL TIME, 40 hours, Monday through Friday
48-55 (USD)
$5000 SIGN ON BONUS
Primary Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Respiratory Manager holds 24‑hour authority, responsibility and accountability for Respiratory Care on the patient care units.
Coordinates interdepartmental services and provides clinical supervision of staff respiratory care practitioners, students and supervisors.
Develops and oversees the departmental and respiratory program policies, procedures and standards, ensuring compliance with JCAHO, CARF, DPH and other organizations.
Actively participates in the development of specialty programs related to pulmonary care and conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Participates in inter‑disciplinary meetings.
Participates in the retention, recruitment and hiring process in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and Clinical Services.
Prerequisites
Graduate of an NBRC‑approved Respiratory Therapy program.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Massachusetts.
CRTT (registry eligible); RRT, RCPT preferred.
Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
Previous experience as an adult educator with emphasis on public speaking.
Previous geriatric and rehabilitation experience.
Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
