Job Description:
- Location: Mission Hospital, 509 Biltmore Ave, Floor: A343 (Main RT department)
- Department Phone:
About the Unit:
- Total Beds: 854
- Staffing: 120 dedicated professionals
- Staffing Breakdown:
- Day Shift: 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
- Night Shift: 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
- Patient Ratios: 10 - 25
- Equipment Used:
- GE R860 Adult vents
- Draeger Infant/Peds vents
- Newport HT70 transport vent
- V60 Non-invasive device
- Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
- EMR System: Cerner
Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must-Have Skills:
- North Carolina Respiratory License
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications
- Preferred Skills:
- NRP Certification
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Engage in a wide range of respiratory procedures essential for both adult and pediatric patients.

Work Expectations:
- Floating Areas: All Critical Care units and floors
- Dress Code: Scrub Color - Medium Gray/Pewter
- Weekend Commitment: Varying weekends (minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years in respiratory care
