Exciting Opportunity for Acute Travel Respiratory Therapist in Ottumwa, IA!
Join our dedicated team at the forefront of healthcare, where you'll provide critical respiratory care in a fast-paced environment that values your expertise and passion for helping others.
Position Details:
- Role: Respiratory Therapist (Certified or Registered)
- Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Patient Population: Geriatric, Adult, Pediatrics, Neonates
- Required Certifications:
- NBRC: CRT or RRT
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
- Years of Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments to determine respiratory needs
- Implement and manage treatments and therapies
- Attend to high-risk deliveries and provide care during critical moments
- Operate invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance
- Collaborate with a skilled healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care
Requirements:
- Iowa License (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Completion of Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions required)
- Mandatory reporter certification for both Child and Adult
- Negative drug test (10-panel screening including opiates)
- Neonatal and pediatric experience is a must
- Monday or Tuesday start options available

- Equipment Used: V-60/VOCSN/Hamilton, Vapotherm, Airvo2
- EHR System: Meditech
- Patient Ratios: Varies based on unit needs
