### Exciting Opportunity for Registered Respiratory Therapist - Nights
Job Description:
- Join a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art Respiratory department.
- Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Shift: Nights, 3x12, 1830 - 0700
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Openings: 1
- Required Licensure: RRT, licensed with Missouri Board for Respiratory Care
- Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
- Preferred Certifications: PALS
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in adult critical care, high-volume busy ED with trauma experience
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: Licensed for 767 beds
- Patient Ratios: Based on a point system and dependent on staffing
- Equipment: Avea ventilators, LTV transport, V60 Bipap, Vapo therm, Airvo for high flow
- EMR: EPIC
Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Adult critical care
- Experience in busy ED with trauma
Preferred Skillset/Experience:
- Blood gas draw
- Blood gas processing on GEM
- Blood gas interpretation
Type of Patients on Unit:
- Respiratory patients throughout all areas of the hospital including SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and Trauma patients
Personality Fit:
- Strong, confident therapist with excellent time management skills
- Willingness to assist coworkers as time allows
Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Black
- Unacceptable Attire: Mercy standard scrubs must be black
Additional Information:
- Pediatric patients are stabilized in the ED and transported to our sister hospital.
