Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience. ICU experience required. Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds.

Preferred Skills/Experience: ER experience preferred.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. If you previously worked with Sanford Health, you must have an employment end date at least 6 months before your submission date.

Unit Details: The scope of work includes assessment, therapeutic intervention, and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications. Procedures and responsibilities include respiratory therapy assessments/protocols, arterial punctures and blood gas analysis, ventilator and NIV therapy management, medication delivery, airway clearance, assisting with intubations, assisting with bedside trach placement, assisting with bedside bronchoscopy, tracheostomy changes and decannulation, extubations, emergency response teams, ICU rounds, and patient intrahospital transport. Equipment utilized includes Omnicell medication cabinet, Hamilton G5 and C1, V60, Airvo, Philips CoughAssist, Synclara Cough Device, Volara, Vest, ResMed AutoPAPs, Radiometer ABL90 Flex, Aerogen, nitric oxide, 3100B HFOV, B Braun Syringe Pump, patient home vents (Trilogy, Astral, Vivo), and Zebra mobile phones.

Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation. Both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts are available, with 12-hour shifts primarily scheduled. Every other weekend and holidays are included in the schedule. Weekend or straight night status may be considered. There is an opportunity to pick up extra shifts.

Floating Requirements: The clinician may float to other Fargo campuses as needed: Broadway or South University.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
