Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Draeger vent experience required. Teaching hospital experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: NICU experience is preferred but not required. Avea vent experience is preferred. Level I trauma-center experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: CRT or RRT required.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. All RTO must be final and accurate; any additional RTO requested after offer acceptance will not be approved. Assignment length may be 26 weeks; 13 weeks is accepted.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric and adolescent patients, adults, and geriatric patients. Travelers may be asked to orient students or new hires as needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements: Will float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses as needed. Travelers should expect to rotate through all areas of the hospital, including the NICU and Pediatric units. Floating frequency depends on census and staffing needs; staff must be prepared to support all units as needed.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/06/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification RRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• CPFT (Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
