Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Draeger vent experience required. Teaching hospital experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: NICU experience preferred, not required. Avea vent experience preferred.

Special Requests: A 13-week assignment will be accepted. All RTO must be final and accurate; any additional RTO requested after offer acceptance will not be approved.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Travelers may be asked to orient students or new hires if needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements: Will float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford campuses as needed. Travelers should expect to rotate through all areas of the hospital, including the NICU and pediatric units. Floating frequency depends on census and staffing needs and may vary; staff must be prepared to support all units as needed.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/06/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• CPFT (Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
