We know that Dashers have a lot of choices when it comes to gig work. This is why DoorDash has created a pay model designed to make earnings fair and transparent for any work done through the DoorDash platform.
Base Pay
Base pay is DoorDash’s base contribution for each offer.
When Dashers choose to earn per offer, Base Pay is based on the estimated time, distance, and desirability of the offer.
When earning by time, Base Pay is based on the minimum guaranteed hourly rate for the time spent actively on a delivery.
After your first dash, we'll send you a Dasher activation kit that contains items like a food warming bag and a Red Card.
Since no two people have the same taste in gear, there’s an online store so you can get the gear and equipment you want.
*Prospective Dashers in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia must be at least 19 years old. Prospective Dashers in California must be at least 21 years old.
