Our team is committed to delivering fast, professional restoration services while maintaining a supportive and team-driven workplace.The Mitigation Technician is an entry-level field position responsible for performing water mitigation, structural drying, and contents handling on residential and commercial job sites. Working under the direction of the Lead Technician and Mitigation Crew Chief, this role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Technicians must maintain job site standards, properly document work, and provide professional service to customers. This position offers a clear career path to Lead Technician and Mitigation Crew Chief roles.All Spartan employees are expected to maintain a collaborative, professional, and positive attitude. Team members must be willing to assist others, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to a respectful and supportive workplace. Employees represent Spartan in the field and are expected to perform their duties with integrity, accountability, and a solution-oriented mindset.Required Skills & Qualifications:Must be 18 years or older (required due to Virginia DOLI regulations prohibiting minors from hazardous work)Valid Virginia driver's license with acceptable driving record (required to operate company vehicles)Ability to perform physically demanding work, including:Lifting 50+ lbs regularlyWorking in heat, humidity, and confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics, etc.)Strong reliability and punctuality required; must be available for emergency response, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotationsAbility to follow direction and communicate clearly in a fast-paced field environmentProfessional conduct when interacting with teammates, leadership, and customersPrior experience in construction, restoration, moving, warehousing, or manual labor preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with industry software (MICA, Albi, Contents Track) is a plus; training providedHigh school diploma or GED preferred but not required for experienced candidatesMust pass pre-employment background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) reviewWork environments may include residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, or environmental damage with exposure to dust, debris, and noise.
