The production technician performs production processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment, as well as an assigned service vehicle. We have a sincere drive toward the goal of helping make fire and water damage "Like it never even happened®!"Primary ResponsibilitiesInventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.Perform production processes as directed.Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.Communicate with crew chief and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-upPosition RequirementsValid Drivers LicenseClean driving record with no tickets or accidents for the past 3 yearsEffective oral communicationBasic math skillsExperience in cleaning/restoration preferredHigh school diploma/GEDIICRC certifications preferredAbility to work On Call rotationAbility to travel locally and out of state when necessaryAbility to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable lawSkills/Physical Demands/CompetenciesAbility to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.You May Be a Great Fit If:You have previous handyman or construction experienceYou enjoy helping others in a time of needYou enjoy making a difference in your communityYou enjoy working with your handsIf any of this sounds like you, apply to start a career with SERVPRO Team Bowen today!
