Retail General Manager
Office Depot is seeking a Retail General Manager to oversee all aspects of store operations, sales, services, profitability, and customer experience.
Base Pay Range
$50,500.00 per year - $79,000.00 per year
Responsibilities
Oversee sales and service results for the location, managing sales performance, identifying opportunities, and developing store strategies to achieve sales and operational goals.
Own associate training and development, talent assessment, succession planning, and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and counseling.
Lead, motivate, and inspire associates to create a customer‑first environment, host in‑store events for local SMB partners, and build strong client relationships.
Hire and manage merchandising, operations, and execution of store and company standards; resolve associate and customer concerns; partner with business teams on a timely basis.
Drive performance management for all associates and foster a positive, inclusive workplace; act as a Change Champion supporting company initiatives.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum two to four years of management experience or equivalent learning through a development program.
Strong business acumen and ability to lead, coach, and manage in a professional environment.
Executive presence, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute detailed instructions efficiently.
Demonstrated leadership, independent work ability, and teamwork skills.
Sound judgment, people‑management abilities, adaptability to change, and resilience under stress.
Proficiency with computers and POS register systems; ability to process merchandise information.
