Job description
A retail pharmacist role is available in Espanola, NM, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity with a reputable pharmacy operating under the Pioneer system. This position focuses on daytime shifts with some weekend rotation, requiring flexibility to start at 8:30 or 9:30 AM. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, handling a busy volume of approximately 600 prescriptions daily.
Responsibilities:
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations
Deliver excellent customer service and provide thorough patient counseling
Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only; no compounding duties)
Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist License is mandatory
Experience with non-sterile compounding verification preferred
Background working in a high-volume pharmacy setting is an advantage
Open to recent graduates seeking to build their pharmacy career
