Job description
A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced pharmacist to work in a dynamic retail pharmacy setting located on a prominent medical campus. This role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully within a high-volume pharmacy dispensing between 600 to 700 prescriptions daily. The position is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values patient interaction.
Responsibilities include:
Verifying and accurately filling prescriptions in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance.
Counseling patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and other essential information.
Maintaining proper documentation and managing controlled substances according to state regulations.
Desired qualifications: Valid Michigan Pharmacist license.
Michigan Controlled Substance License.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Pharmacy situated on a well-known medical campus offering a professional and collaborative environment.
Schedule: Monday through Friday
9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
