We are a well-established, physician-owned, retina-only practice in beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee, and we’re actively seeking a talented Retina Specialist to join our practice.

About Us:

Southeastern Retina Associates (SERA), with 21 board-certified ophthalmologists specializing in the treatment and surgery for diseases of the retina, macula and vitreous, is one of the largest remaining physician-owned and independent retina practices in the country, and the most experienced retina team in East Tennessee. Since 1980, SERA has offered the most advanced surgical, injection and medical approaches to patients with all types of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular diseases, retinal vascular diseases, ocular tumors, and ocular trauma. Our compassionate retina specialists combine cutting-edge science with a patient-centric philosophy to achieve the best possible outcomes.

With state-of-the-art centers across Tennessee, Northern Georgia, and Southwestern Virginia, we make the highest quality retinal care accessible to our communities.

Typical Weekly Schedule :Enjoy a well-balanced schedule with3-4 days practicing in the greater Knoxville areaand1-2 days providing care at nearby satellite clinics. Travel is scheduled in advance and offers the opportunity to serve patients across East Tennessee while maintaining Knoxville as your primary practice location.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and treat a full spectrum of retinal diseases, including AMD, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and macular disorders.

Perform in-office procedures and advanced vitreoretinal surgeries at our state-of-the-art surgical center.

Collaborate with a team of experienced ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive patient care.

Utilize the latest imaging and diagnostic technologies, including OCT, fluorescein angiography, and wide-field imaging.

Participate in clinical research, teaching, or leadership opportunities (if desired).

Provide exceptional patient care.

Expand and nurture our referral network.

Qualifications:

Board-certified/board-eligible retina specialist.

Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and building long-term relationships.
