Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join a growing team. In this role, you will play an integral part in the monthly financial close, complex contract evaluation, and technical revenue recognition under ASC 606.

Key Responsibilities
Review complex commercial agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment and ensure ongoing adherence to ASC 606 standards.
Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries, analyze monthly financial results, and deliver quarterly and annual month-end reporting packages.
Perform detailed monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and related ledger accounts.
Assist in accounting, tracking, and reconciliation for incentive-based revenue structures, royalty calculations, and regulatory/tax credit mechanisms (such as PTCs).
Support recurring and usage-based billing processes to ensure timely and accurate revenue capture while assisting with AR aging analysis and collections efforts.
Lead audit readiness efforts by maintaining clean process documentation and compiling schedules for internal and external auditors.
Identify operational efficiencies within revenue accounting workflows and implement improvements to support business growth.
Partner cross-functionally with operations, legal, and commercial teams to validate contract terms and resolve accounting issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
4 to 6+ years of general accounting or financial reporting experience, with a heavy emphasis on revenue accounting, ASC 606, and complex account reconciliations.
Prior accounting experience within energy, power, utilities, or clean technology sectors is strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience using major enterprise ERP systems (e.G., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) along with specialized billing platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, complex formulas, pivot tables) and standard reporting tools.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10% annually).
