Job description
RHEUMATOLOGY
PositionOverview: WeareseekingacompassionateandskilledRheumatologisttojoinourexpandingRheumatologydepartmentat theSpringerBuildinginTulsa,Oklahoma.Thisisanexcitingopportunitytobepartofagrowingteamandservea diverseadultpatientpopulation.Thedepartmentcurrentlyincludes5physiciansand3advancedpractice providers(APPs),andwearelookingtoadd onemoreprovidertomeetcommunityneeds.
KeyResponsibilities:
Provideoutpatientcareforadultpatientswithavarietyofrheumatologicconditions
Manageamixofconditions,includingautoimmunediseases,musculoskeletaldisorders,and inflammatorydiseases
Participate in hospital call rotation (1 in every 6 weekends) with weekend call relief during the week if coveringweekends
UtilizeDragonvoicerecognitionwithEpicfordocumentation
Conductjointinjectionsandbiopsies(musclebiopsieshandledbyDr.JohnKing,GeneralSurgery)
CollaboratewithotherspecialistsintheSpringerbuilding,includingEndocrinology,ENT,Podiatry,Dermatology,Ophthalmology,Pediatrics, and Urgent Care
ExpectationsforWorkSchedule:
MondaytoFriday,8:00AM–5:00PM
4.5daysperweekdedicatedtoseeingpatients
Callschedule:1inevery6weekends
Weekday/weeknightcallissharedbetween5providers
DepartmentHighlights:
ThedepartmentisequippedwithSonositeultrasoundandamicroscopefordiagnosisandtreatment
InfusionsareperformedatSaintFrancisHospitalYaleortheSFCancerTreatmentCenter
Theclinicoffersacollaborativeenvironmentwithaccesstoafullrangeofspecialists,includingreferralsforpainmanagementneeds
PediatricRheumatologyservicesarenotofferedlocally,butpediatricpatients(11yearsandolder)can be seen forconsults inourclinic
ThedepartmentutilizesDragonvoicerecognitionwithEpicfordstreamlineddocumentation
Qualifications:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology
Open to new graduates
Experiencewithadultrheumatologyandmusculoskeletalconditionspreferred
Strongcommunication skillsandabilitytoworkinateam-orientedenvironment
