Rheumatology opening in Lewiston, MELocated in Lewiston, ME - Portland 35 miles, Boston 140 milesFull-time; PermanentHospital-Employed2026 Start Date Overview: Seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Rheumatologist Opportunity to build and grow rheumatology services within expanding specialty program Provide comprehensive care for rheumatologic and autoimmune disorders Mix of outpatient care with limited inpatient consults Strong referral network and administrative support Collaborative multidisciplinary environment Clinical Details: Diagnose and manage autoimmune and inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, and vasculitis Develop individualized treatment plans including biologic and immunomodulatory therapies Perform joint injections and musculoskeletal assessments Collaborate with primary care, orthopedics, nephrology, dermatology, and other specialties Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination Maintain documentation within EMR Optional opportunities for teaching, research, or community outreach Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary with productivity incentives Sign-on bonus Relocation assistance Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution CME allowance and paid time off Malpractice provided with tail coverage Requirements: MD or DO Completion of Internal Medicine residency Fellowship training in Rheumatology Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology Eligible for Maine medical license DEA registration About the Area:Lewiston, ME is located along the Androscoggin River and serves as one of the primary healthcare hubs of central Maine.
