Job description
Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse specializes in acute neuro care, working within an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and adhere to evidence-based standards, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families through effective communication and education.
Coordinate and document safe, high-quality care, fostering teamwork through interdisciplinary communication and promoting an inclusive, respectful environment.
Support professional development by serving as preceptor or mentor, completing competency assessments, and participating in performance improvement and research activities.
Advocate for evidence-based practice and participate in protocol development to improve patient outcomes, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
Proactively plan patient care across the continuum, utilizing resources efficiently and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associates or Diploma Nursing required; Bachelors preferred.
Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
Experience in direct patient care preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, and technological skills essential.
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies professionally.
