Job description
Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse specializes in acute care, specifically in Orthopedic Surgical units, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They practice according to evidence-based standards, uphold the nursing scope of practice, and adhere to professional ethics and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—focused on individualized patient outcomes.
Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care, engaging patients and families through effective communication and education.
Coordinate care with team members, ensuring documentation of safe, quality care and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment.
Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance to promote safety and quality standards.
Support professional development by completing required training, mentoring fellow staff, and serving as a preceptor.
Engage in evidence-based practice, contribute to protocol development, and ensure compliance with policies and accreditation standards.
Utilize clinical resources effectively, plan across care continuum, and assist in developing care protocols to improve outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Baccalaureate preferred.
Current RN license (single or multi-state Compact) and BLS certification.
Strong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and time management skills.
Proficiency in technology and clinical documentation.
