Job description
Role: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Acute Orthopedic Surgical Care, providing high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include:
Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices.
Delivering relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families in care planning.
Partnering with team members through effective communication and documentation to ensure safe and quality care.
Supporting performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
Mentoring and serving as a preceptor to develop a qualified healthcare workforce.
Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies, including safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
Required certifications include BLS or ARC-BLS, obtained upon hire.
Less than one year of clinical experience, with clinical hours completed in accredited nursing programs.
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Key duties: Providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, collaborating with team members, supporting quality improvement, and maintaining professional standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
