Work Schedule
Work hours will vary based on program needs and may include day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Flexibility is required, as additional or alternative shifts may be necessary to meet departmental staffing and coverage needs.
The posted salary range reflects compensation for both Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). Starting compensation will be determined based on licensure, qualifications, and relevant experience.
LPN: $24.52 $26.44 per hour
RN: $75,000 $80,000 annually

Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
Knowledge of safe medication administration practices, including psychotropic medications, potential side effects, adverse reactions, and drug interactions.
Experience providing care to individuals with mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders, including crisis intervention.
Excellent therapeutic communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, community partners, law enforcement, and court personnel in a fast-paced crisis environment.
Proficiency in documenting assessments, interventions, and services in electronic health records while maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Current license as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
A minimum of at least one year of nursing experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders required.
Valid driver's license required.
DMV record must be submitted with application.
