RN - Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Title: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Experience: Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience required for RNs

Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Moderate sedation management with Versed/Fentanyl Critical drip management Monitor and circulate cases Experience with various case types in Cath Lab
Description: Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet designated teaching hospital. It serves as a comprehensive stroke center with a total of 397 beds. There are 3 Cath Labs within the facility. The average daily case load is between 5-15 cases. Case types include diagnostic/interventional procedures in Cath and EP, including LHC, RCH, NSTEMI and STEMI cases. Additional procedures include Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave therapy, temporary pacers, and peripheral diagnostic/intervention procedures. EP procedures involve Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes. For RN positions, skills required include moderate sedation administration, critical drip management, and circulating cases. Tech position requirements include skills such as laser lead extraction, Rotoblator operation, FFR, IVUS, and Impella management. Charge RN will assist with cases alongside the rest of the team. Receptionist and hospitalist/physician will be available after hours for additional support. Respiratory therapy is also part of the support team. Scheduling requires weekend rotation on call, with a total of 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Weekday call will involve 4-5 overnight shifts within the same period. No sleep room is available, but a 30-minute response time is expected for on-call duties. There may be holiday expectations for being on call. Self-scheduling is available with final approval from management. Scrubs will be provided.
