n nSchedule: 4x10s, Call Required: After Hours, Weekends, Holidays. 10 - 12 call shifts per 6-week period.

n nJob Details:
nnnProvides necessary education to patients and families from admission to discharge, covering medical and nursing care plans, medications, tests, procedures, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
n
nnDocuments education provided, including patient responses and outcomes. Initiates referrals to healthcare providers as needed.
n
nnDelivers competent, compassionate care to patients in pain according to policy and maintains a safe care environment.
n
nnAdministers medications accurately as ordered. Responds to unit and hospital code situations.
n
nnProvides safe, competent nursing care for patients requiring oxygen support.
n
nnAssists physicians with bedside procedures.
n
nnManages patient admissions, transfers, and discharges professionally.
n
nnVerifies and signs off physician orders and obtains lab specimens as ordered.
n
nnEvaluates the nursing care plan to ensure safe, competent care delivery.
n
nnOther duties as assigned.
n
n nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
nnnMust be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes. (Required)
n
nnBasic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs. (Required)
n
nnMust be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills) (Required)
n
n nEducation:
nnAssociate (Required)
n nWork Experience:
nn2 years of cath lab nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. (Required)
n nLicenses and Certifications:
nnnRegistered Nurse (RN) (Required)
n
nnBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
n
nnAdvanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) (Required)
n
nnPediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) (Preferred) OR Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) (Preferred)
n
