Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cardiac catheterization procedures and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Job Details
Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
Shift Length: 10 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Schedule: 4x10s, Monday to Friday, 0700 - 1730 with a rotating day off
On-call Requirement: 10-12 days of call per month, including weekend rotation
Responsibilities Perform cardiac catheterizations and assist in various cardiovascular procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs and provide direct patient care during procedures.
Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain a sterile environment.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
During downtime, float to the emergency department as a sitter or assist on med-surg floors to respond to call lights.
Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a cardiac cath lab or related field.
Certifications: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (AHA).
Skills Strong technical skills and the ability to operate specialized cath lab equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
