Job Description
Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires dedication and expertise in providing exceptional patient care within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs during procedures.
Administer sedation and support procedures in the catheterization lab.
Prepare and maintain equipment for procedures.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).
Participate in patient education and provide information regarding post-procedure care.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards within the lab.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology (IR) setting, preferably in a 250-bed or larger facility.
Experience in EPIC electronic health record system is preferred.
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or CCI RCIS, NIHSS.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Must be available for call: 7 days per month, including weekend availability.
Work Schedule:
This position offers shifts any day Monday through Friday, with weekend call responsibilities as specified.
Additional Information: Free parking is available on site.
The facility is recognized as a Magnet facility, indicating a strong commitment to nursing excellence.
Scrubs are provided in the designated color for RNs.
