Job description
Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse leads and manages daily unit operations in an acute care cardiac telemetry setting, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees staff, assigns patients, and manages unit workflow, including bed assignments and resource planning.
Rounds on patients to evaluate care quality and implements corrective actions as needed.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and management to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
Supports performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and research activities.
Mentors and precepts new staff and promotes professional development.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and maintains a safe, respectful work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
Valid RN license, with multi-state license preferred.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (or equivalent) required upon hire.
Strong clinical expertise, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage resources, prioritize tasks, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
