nThe Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, and supporting staff within a designated department or clinical area. This role involves overseeing workflows, managing resources, and fostering collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for clinical inquiries, process improvements, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
nEssential Functions
nnnCoordinates daily clinical operations, including patient flow, resource allocation, and staff assignments, to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
n
nnSupports clinical staff by providing guidance, addressing concerns, and assisting with complex patient care situations.
n
nnCollaborates with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans, ensuring alignment with patient needs and departmental goals.
n
nnAssists in onboarding and training new clinical staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
n
nnMaintains accurate documentation related to patient care, clinical activities, and quality measures as required.
n
nnServes as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, patients, and families to facilitate communication and resolve concerns.
n
nnEnsures the availability and proper use of equipment, supplies, and resources needed for patient care.
n
nnParticipates in emergency response planning and execution, supporting staff and patients during critical situations.
n
nnPerforms other duties as assigned.
n
nnMaintains regular and reliable attendance.
n
nnComplies with all policies and standards.
n
n nQualifications
nnn1-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required
n
nn1-2 years of prior experience in a coordination role preferred
n
n nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
nnnStrong clinical knowledge and the ability to oversee complex patient care situations.
n
nnEffective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.
n
nnOrganizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
n
nnCritical thinking and problem-solving skills for addressing operational challenges.
n
nnKnowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and quality improvement practices.
n
nnAbility to train, mentor, and support clinical staff in adhering to best practices and standards.
n
n nLicenses and Certifications
nnnRN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
n
nnBLS - Basic Life Support required
n
nnACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
n
