Position Overview
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decisional Unit in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring adherence to current standards and ethical practices. The nurse will supervise staff, promote safety, document thoroughly, and contribute to professional development. Flexibility to float to other inpatient units as needed is required.
Responsibilities
Utilize nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Maintain competency with current standards and integrate evidence-based practices.
Promote safety and supervise staff in patient care activities.
Ensure thorough and timely documentation.
Recognize and respond to emergency situations effectively.
Support the professional growth of peers and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills
At least one year of staff nurse experience preferred, including cardiac telemetry or critical care.
Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
Current Illinois Nursing license, CPR certification, ACLS (within 3 months), and NIHSS (within one month).
Effective communication skills and ability to guide staff.
Additional Information
Work primarily during night shifts, with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
